We are inviting applications for a fully funded PhD position under supervision by Dr. Mahdi S. Hosseini at Concordia University, Montreal. The successful candidate will enroll in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE). This PhD lies at the intersection of core deep learning and computer vision problems with emphasis on
(a) foundation modeling,
(b) efficient vision-language modeling,
(c) multimodal learning,
(d) interpretable and explainable AI models,
(e) clinical pathology applications in diagnostics, prognostics, and cancer biomarker discovery
Adequate computational resources will be available to support these research directions.
